Fire & Ice Backing Instructions
In conjunction with my release of the Fire & Ice pattern, I thought I'd share some quick instructions on how to make the backing. This will yield a backing at 54" x 66" (I like to make my backings a little bit large to make sandwiching easier).
You will need:
Black solid - 2/3 yard
Graphic print - either 2.5 or 2.25 yards (see directions below for more detail)

First, cut your black fabric. Nice and simple!
Next, cut your print fabric. There are two ways of doing this - the first is for directional prints, to keep the print facing the same way throughout the backing. The second is for non-directional prints. Or for people who don't care ;)
Now, sew them all together...
